Ed Kabotie, "Changing Times: Puebloan Resiliency Throughout the Ages"

Join us for our next Bears Ears Education Center presentation, featuring Ed Kabotie! Ed Kabotie is an artist/musician/educator from the Tewa village of Khap'o Owinge aka Santa Clara Pueblo in Northern New Mexico. He considers himself to be an "edu-tainer" combining the mediums of visual art, music and spoken word to share themes of Indigenous history and contemporary challenges.
In ancient times, Puebloan peoples exemplified the resiliency of the human spirit. Today, several contemporary Pueblo villages are regarded as the oldest continually inhabited communities in North America. The longevity of these societies has been a fascination to both scholars and seekers, and provides enduring lessons for adapting to changes in climate and culture.
On Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30pm, Ed Kabotie will share personal insights and songs to highlight lessons from Puebloan resiliency to help navigate changing times. This free presentation is open to all, and takes place at the Bears Ears Education Center (567 W Main St, Bluff, Utah). Don't miss this evening of enrichment!
